Determination of 13 Organic Toxicants in Human Blood by Liquid-Liquid Extraction Coupling High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract: Pesticides and antidepressants are frequently misused in drug-facilitated crime because of their toxicological effect and easy-availability. Therefore, it is essential for the development of a simple and reliable method for the determination of these organic toxicants in biological fluids. Here, we report on an applicable method by the combination of optimized liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) procedure and high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) to identify and quantify dimet… Show more

“…Highly sensitive analytical methods are required for the detection of fentanyl-like compounds, since they are very potent, short-acting opioids and occur in low concentrations. LC-MS/ MS is indeed the more popular analytical technique in the field of bioanalysis, [49][50][51] and also for fentanyl-like compounds. Several papers reported a similar LC-MS/MS method: many of them share 1) the C18-chromatographic column, 2) a gradient elution program, 3) an ESI source operating in the positive ionization mode, 4) a targeted multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) scan mode and 5) the same combination of mobile phases, commonly acetonitrile or methanol coupled with water or buffer.…”

“…Daha sonra 2016 yılında sekizi antidepresan olmak üzere on üç tane organik toksik maddeyi LC-MS/MS yöntemi ile insan kanında analiz etmek üzere eş zamanlı bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmada insan kanında 13 tane parametreyi hızlı, yüksek doğruluk, kesinlik ve oldukça düşük LOD ve LOQ sonuçları elde etmişlerdir [17,18].…”

“…Detection of and discrimination among a wide range of toxicants remain a particularly important but difficult challenge. Commonly used methods for the determination of the above toxicants are spectral analysis, [ 1–3 ] chromatography, [ 4 ] GC–MS, [ 5,6 ] HPLC–MS, [ 7–10 ] biological analysis, [ 11 ] and so on. Among them, GC–MS and HPLC–MS are often used as the standard method or technical specification in the field of forensic toxicology analysis.…”
