Infertility can be defined as a married couple who have not experienced pregnancy for one year, after having regular intercourse 2-3 times a week and without using any preventive methods. There are two types of infertility, namely primary infertility and secondary infertility. Primary infertility is when the wife has never been pregnant even though she has had intercourse without contraception and is faced with the possibility of pregnancy for twelve months. Secondary infertility is when the wife has been pregnant before, but then there is no further pregnancy even though she has had intercourse without contraception and is faced with the possibility of pregnancy for twelve months. Causes of infertility can be divided into three groups. One-third of related problems in women, one-third in men, and one-third are caused by a combination of factors. Infertility in women can be caused by problems with the vagina, cervix uteri, fallopian tubes, uterus, or ovaries. This literature review aimed to describe the definitions, types, and current management of infertility in women.

Indonesia still faces the Triple Burden of Malnutrition, which can impact the dietary choices of adolescents to balance their nutritional intake and, simultaneously, emphasize the need for effective nutrition education. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education delivered through the UNAGI game and videos on knowledge and nutritional intake of high school students. This quasi-experimental study was conducted with students from Public Senior High School 12 in Bekasi City, where the participants were divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention was provided once a week for two consecutive weeks. Knowledge was measured using a questionnaire, and food intake was assessed through 24-hour food recall. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test for the difference between groups and paired t-test/Wilcoxon for pre-post comparisons, with α significant level of 5%. Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in knowledge and dietary intake between the two groups. Post-intervention, a significant improvement in nutrition knowledge (p-value of 0.000) was noted in the intervention group exposed to the snake and ladder nutrition game. However, there were no significant changes in energy intake (p-value of 0.162), fat intake (p-value of 0.144), sugar consumption (p-value of 0.066), and salt consumption (p-value of 0.944). The findings support the recommendation of utilizing UNAGI games for nutrition education in the digital era as a valuable alternative to visual media, effectively contributing to enhanced nutritional understanding among adolescents.

Globally, 48 million couples experience infertility, where male infertility factors contribute to 50% of cases. Spermatozoa motility is a crucial parameter in assessing male fertility. Antioxidants act as the body's defence against excessive ROS and can be used as a treatment for male infertility. One of the local plants in Central Kalimantan that is potentially rich in antioxidants is Bajakah Kalalawit (Uncaria gambir (W.Hunter) Roxb. However, there is limited research on the bioactivity of Bajakah Kalalawit on spermatozoa in vitro. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of Uncaria gambir (W. Hunter) Roxb on spermatozoa motility in vitro. Bajakah Kalalawit stems were extracted using a 3x24-hour maceration technique with 96% ethanol. After obtaining the concentrated extract, the secondary metabolite compound content was analyzed through a phytochemical screening. The sample used was in vitro human spermatozoa that were washed and added to Bigger Whitten Whittingham medium, then incubated at 37°C for 1 hour with a 96% ethanol extract of Bajakah Kalalawit at doses of 50ng/ml, 100ng/ml, 500ng/ml, and 1000ng/ml, as well as a control group (Bigger, Whitten & Whittingham medium only). The results showed that the compounds contained in the ethanol extract of Uncaria gambir (W.Hunter) Roxb were terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolics, steroids, saponins, alkaloids, and tannins. Spermatozoa motility significantly increased in the treatment groups starting from doses of 50ng/ml, 100ng/ml, 500ng/ml, and 1000ng/ml compared to the control group. Ethanol extract of Uncaria gambir (W.Hunter) Roxb could increase spermatozoa motility in vitro and succeeded in improving reproductive technology.
