“…The immunization rate recommended by Healthy People 2010 for the population aged 65 years and older is 90% [ 28 ]. However, our results revealed that approximately 32.70% of the elderly people with disabilities were vaccinated in 2008, which is lower than the 44% influenza vaccination coverage rate for the entire general elderly population in Taiwan [ 29 ]. Unlike previous studies conducted in the United States [ 17 , 19 – 22 ], our study found that elderly people with disabilities were less likely to receive influenza immunization than those without disabilities.…”
