“…It has been reported 33 that old machiya houses still remain in Kyoto , where people cherish their traditional lifestyles while accepting the changes of nature, and these customs are thought to have remained. Since the previously reported 9,10 may be specific to the regions noted, this report adds survey data to verify whether the same can be said of other regions.
