Abstract:Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder associated with acute nonmetabolic and metabolic complications. Diabetic ketoacidosis is the most serious diabetic emergency in patients with diabetes mellitus. It is the leading cause of mortality in children and young adults.
