Abstract:Background: Births assisted by skilled health personnel in health facilities is the prevention of maternal mortality. Wakatobi District has a low coverage of birth attendance by skilled health personnel, and the community has a powerful culture in all aspects of life, including visiting traditional birth attendants known as Bhisa/Sando in caring for women from pregnant to childbirth.
