Detection of Eimeria spp. from reindeer

Abstract: The reindeer (Rangifer tarandus, Linnaeus, 1758) are semidomesticated animals in northern Mongolia.  The main aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of Eimeria spp. in semidomecticated reindeer in Mongolia. Assessments of eimeria parasitism among these reindeers were based on fecal examination and morphological identification of coccidian oocysts.
