Detection of Bluetongue Virus Antigen from Livestock of Gujarat State

Abstract: Bluetongue (BT) is an infectious, non-contagious disease of domestic and wild ruminants. Bluetongue virus (BTV) causes severe disease in sheep, which is transmitted by insect vector belonging to Culicoides spp. It is particularly a viral disease of sheep, occasionally affecting cattle, buffaloes, goats, camels and other wild ruminants. Out of 377 (364-blood, 5-spleen and 8-pooled Culicoides) samples 110 (29.18%) and 28 (7.42%) were found positive for BTV antigen by s-ELISA and BT-AGID respectively. Species wis… Show more

“…Though cattle, buffaloes and goats are susceptible to BTV infection, generally they do not show overt clinical signs of the disease (Racloz et al 2006 ). Since cattle, buffalo and camels are sub-clinically infected with BTV they may play an important role in BTV transmission and have significant implications in BT control by vaccination in India (Rajkhowa et al 2008 ; Rao et al 2016 ; Patel et al 2017 ). Limited reports on BT in camels show seroprevalence ranging from 21 to 68% (Mozaffari et al 2013 ).…”

“…The included studies used serodiagnostic techniques AGID, ELISA, c-ELISA, sandwich-ELISA (sELISA), DOT-ELISA, and Counter immunoelectrophoresis (CCIE). Some studies performed multiple tests; for example, the study by Chandel et al ( 2004 ), Chauhan et al ( 2004 ), and Patel et al ( 2017 ). The meta-analysis description of the included studies is shown in Table 1 .…”

“…The phosphorous containing triol, tris (bisphenol-A) mono phosphate (TBAMP) was synthesized by reacting bisphenol-A (3 mol) and phosphorous oxychloride (1 mol) in presence of a catalyst N,N-dimethyl aniline (0.01%) according to the reported method [6]. This triol was used to react with polyurethanepre-polymer (step-I) to prepare hyperbranched polyurethanes (step-II).…”

“…Pyridine derivatives are known as one of the most important azaheterocycle medicinal compounds because they have shown properties like antimicrobial , anti‐inflammatory , antiviral , antichagasic , antibacterial , antifungal , antidiabetic , antiurease , and anticancer . Moreover, pyridine derivatives containing multifunctional groups can be used as drugs such as etoricoxib, lansoprazole, amlodipine, eszopiclone, clarinex, and pioglitazone (Fig.…”
