Detection of Acetylcholine in an Enzyme‐Free System Based on a GCE/V2O5 NRs/BPM Modified Sensor

Abstract: In this approach, vanadium pentoxide nanorods (V 2 O 5 NRs) were prepared by utilizing a facile wet-chemical approach (WCA) in an alkaline phase at low temperatures then applied to detect acetylcholine. Various optical techniques, such as Ultra-Violet spectroscopy (UV-Visible), Fourier Transform Infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR), Powder X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Emission Microscopy (FESEM), X-ray Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (XEDS) and X-ray Photo-electron Spectroscopy (XPS) were applied… Show more

“…The sensor's capability to detect ACh in human serum samples is also demonstrated, indicating its potential for point-of-care analysis of neuronal disorders. Musharraf Hussain et al 2022126 developed a sensor using V 2 O 5 nanorods (NRs) modified-GCE with a binding polymer matrix (BPM) through an electrochemical approach in an enzyme-free system for the detection of ACh.V 2 O 5 NRs were chosen due to their electrochemical properties and catalytic activity. The study first characterizes the synthesized V 2 O 5 NRs, confirming their morphology, structure, and elemental composition.…”
