“…The risk of FB contamination in PFT could be due to the high temperature and humidity environmental conditions in PFT production, sales, and storage areas (Guangdong and Guangxi in China), providing an ideal condition for the growth of Fusarium sp. [ 43 ]. Notably, the percentage of positive samples for Liupao, Pu-erh, and Fu brick teas packaged in baskets or paper was 21.05%, 22.00%, and 21.43%, respectively.…”

“…Mycelia of the cultivated A. tubingensis were removed by filtration with a GF/A glass microfiber filter (pore size 1.6 µm; Whatman, Brentford, UK) at 5 or 8 days (until the growth reached stationary state and metabolites were sufficiently produced) to prepare the culture broth. FBs and ochratoxins were purified from the culture broth as reported previously 23) using immunoaffinity column (IAC) with some modifications. Internal standard solution ( 13 C 34 -FB 1 0.2 mg/L in acetonitrile/water (1:1) or 13 C 20 -OTA 0.2 mg/L in acetonitrile) was individually added at a volume of 0.01 mL with a precision microliter pipette of the "Microman" model M50 (Gilson) to 0.99 mL of each culture broth, to adjust the final concentration of the internal standard ( 13 C 34 -FB 1 or 13 C 20 -OTA) to 2 μg/L.…”

“…The traditional methods such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), 8 mass spectrometry (MS), 9 liquid chromatography-MS, 10 gas chromatography-MS, 11 and polymerase chain reactions (PCR) 12 are powerful techniques to detect different kinds of chemical compounds and biological elements. Despite their high sensitivity, accuracy and stability, they are time consuming, laborious and require expensive instruments.…”
