Detecting micro-particles of explosives at ten meters using selective stimulated Raman scattering

Abstract: We demonstrate standoff detection using stimulated Raman scattering (SRS), simultaneously measuring stimulated Raman gain (SRG) and loss (SRL) within a single laser shot, and detect nanogram quantities of explosives using a 10mW femtosecond laser.
