Detecting Helical Gearbox Defects from Raw Vibration Signal Using Convolutional Neural Networks

Abstract: A study on the gearbox (speed reducer) defect detection models built from the raw vibration signal measured by a triaxial accelerometer and based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs) is presented.
