Detecting development scenarios of dynamic events in electric power networks smart-grid Part1 “Method”

Abstract: A method for constructing a semantic S-detector for the senior hierarchical level of pattern recognition in dynamic objects is proposed. The S-detection method is based on a uniform synthesis of all hierarchically subordinate detectors and information preparation schemes, based on the tasks of the upper hierarchical level of recognition of scenarios for the development of processes in an object. The method can be used to solve problems of relay protection, emergency control automation, to identify rare events … Show more

“…The use of well-known inertial methods for processing signal information, based on the representation of input signals UIN(t) with circular frequencies ω, requires further interpretation of the results obtained [5,6]. This is critically manifested in the conditions of limiting the amount of input information Q during short-term, irregular information events in the input signals UIN(t) of relay protection and automation (RPA) devices for automatic decision-making [4,7].…”

“…The problem of automatically obtaining dynamic semantic conclusions is solved by ensuring the stability of the operation of a selective earth fault protection relay (EFP) in distribution networks with a voltage of 6-35 kV and a arc suppression Petersen's coil (Fig. 1) [6,7], [8,9]. Such an dynamic object of control and protection (OCP) is characterised by low currents of EFP, the ability of high-voltage insulation to self-recovery, changes in the parameters of selective signals in different networks, as well as the variety of semantic situations SN and their scenarios SсеN following during the development of EFP, the presence of thirdparty transient processes [4].…”
