“…This they were able to do may be because they more likely than other agents of social control to exercise force and authority directly upon citizens. The physical conditions of police stations are stressful and makes detained suspects particularly first timers to demand medical attention (Vincent, Beaufrère, Chariot, 2015). Most Nigerian Police station are congested with detained suspects, making the station to be dirty and filled with unpleasant odor.…”
