Unlike its inherent beneficial attributes, the blood supply chain is very complex due to its uncertain nature and irregular donation besides a high vulnerability to disruptions. In this regard, this study provides a multi‐objective integrated resilient‐efficient model to design a blood supply chain network under uncertainty. To evaluate the efficiency, an augmented form of the data envelopment analysis model is incorporated into the extended model. On the other hand, to improve supply chain resilience, different resiliency measures as optimization tools are introduced and inserted into the considered network. As blood donors have a main role in the blood supply chain, this paper undertakes motivational social aspects to stimulate blood donation for reducing possible shortages. Furthermore, to handle the multi‐objective problem, an interactive fuzzy approach is utilized. Finally, to indicate the applicability of the extended model and its solution approaches, a case study is provided considering realistic data. The results revealed that simultaneously considering all three measures of efficiency, resilience, and cost can assist in improvement of blood supply chain network design and a trade‐off among these three measures can be set by decision maker's preferences.

In response to growing environmental challenges, there is an urgent need to understand how corporations can leverage new technologies to boost sustainability and eco‐innovation. This study addresses this need by investigating Artificial Intelligence adoption (AIA) influence on green innovation (greenovation) performance among Chinese firms as China's expanding digital economy and severe ecological pressures make it unique study context. Specifically, panel data on 8722 firm‐year observations from Chinese listed firms from 2008 to 2017 is analyzed to test the relationship. The main findings show that higher AIA is associated with increased greenovation, measured through green patents. This positive effect is more pronounced among privately‐owned enterprises versus state‐owned enterprises. Additionally, financial analysts are found to strengthen the AI‐greennovation link through information dissemination and scrutiny. Importantly, the study findings are robust and validated through a battery of tests, including change regression, instrumental variable methods, propensity score match (PSM), and sysGMM. Overall, this study provides novel empirical evidence that AI holds promise as an enabler of corporate eco‐innovation. The findings have crucial implications for research and practice regarding leveraging digital technologies for sustainability, especially in emerging economies like China that is undergoing rapid technological change.

In this study a multi-objective formulation is proposed for designing a supply chain of perishable products including suppliers, plants, distributors, and customers under sustainable development. In addition to the studies of the literature, direct shipment between producers and customers and also alternative products possibility are allowed. In this problem the objectives like facilities establishment costs, transportation costs, negative environmental impacts, and social impact (fixed and variable employment rates) are optimized simultaneously. As in real situations, most of the transportation activities of such supply chain are performed by hiring transportation devices, the open routing logic is applied to form the travelling path of each hired transportation device. Furthermore, the possibility of direct shipment from the plants to the customers is considered in order to increase profitability of the plants. Because of the NP-hard nature of the supply chain design problems, some meta-heuristic solution approaches of the literature are modified to multi-objective form and applied to solve the problem. Several test problems from small to large sizes are generated randomly to evaluate the meta-heuristic algorithms. As a result, among the proposed algorithms, the multi-objective grey wolf optimizer (MGWO) perform better than others by considering four wellknown evaluation metrics. At the end, a case study from perishable products supply chain of Iran is solved and analyzed to show the applicability of the proposed problem.
