The rapid growth of the internet across the globe has gained attention in the world of business. The internet has become the major driver for business growth in the world; due to several security lapses online; it is necessary to implement measures and standards on the internet to protect transactions online. These security lapses have led to the development of various online payment protocols to ensure the safety of online transactions such as Secure Electronic Transaction (SET), internet Keyed Payment (iKP) and The Secure Socket Layer (SSL). There are several methods of paying for online transactions; these include direct payment with bank accounts and the use of electronic card. The payments are subjected to the verification system, which ensures no one uses someone's card to transact business online. Each card has a security feature known as the Card Verification Value (CVV) number, which is used as authentication for online business. The key feature of the card which validates the card owner as the user is the CVV number, which is found at the back of the card. The problem is that when the card gets lost or falls into the hands of another person, it is likely the person might use the card for a fraudulent activity online. This is because all the information required for e-payment is on the card. In this paper, we propose an optimized conceptual model which ensures the removal of the CVV number from the all-electronic card, the paper also recommended a framework that deployed Unstructured Supplementary Services Data (USSD) technology in the online transaction and payment process. In a real-world implementation, the proposed optimized model shall enhance e-commerce payments, card user participation, reduce threats, improves the security of conducting online business and then offer the card user the opportunity to deny or accepts payment.

A false alarm rate of online anomaly-based intrusion detection system is a crucial concern. It is challenging to implement in the real-world scenarios when these anomalies occur sporadically. The existing intrusion detection system has been developed to limit or decrease the false alarm rate. However, the state-of-the-art approaches are attack or algorithm specific, which is not generic. In this article, a soft-computing-based approach has been designed to reduce the false-positive rate for hierarchical data of anomaly-based intrusion detection system. The recurrent neural network model is applied to classify the data set of intrusion detection system and normal instances for various subclasses. The designed approach is more practical, reason being, it does not require any assumption or knowledge of the data set structure. Experimental evaluation is conducted on various attacks on KDDCup’99 and NSL-KDD data sets. The proposed method enhances the intrusion detection systems that can work with data with dependent and independent features. Furthermore, this approach is also beneficial for real-life scenarios with a low occurrence of attacks.

Multimedia applications in smart electronic commerce (e-commerce), such as online trading and Internet marketing, always face security in storage and transmission of digital images and videos. This study addresses the problem of security in e-commerce and proposes a unified framework to analyze the security data. First, to allocate the definite security resources optimally, we build our ecommerce monitoring model as an undirected network, where a monitored node is a vertex of the graph and a connection between vertices is an undirected edge. Moreover, we aim to find a minimal cover for the monitoring network as the optimal solution of resource allocation, which is defined as the network monitoring minimization problem (NMM). This problem is proved to be NP-hard. Second, by analyzing the latent threats, we design a novel and trusted monitoring system that can integrate incident monitoring, data analysis, risk assessment, and security warnings. This system does not touch users' privacy data. Third, we propose a sequential model-based risk assessment method, which can predict the risk according to the text semantics. Our experimental results on web scale data demonstrate that our system is flexible enough when monitoring, which also verify the effectiveness and efficiency of our system.
