Background:Patients with cancer experience various physical and psychological complications during treatment. Fatigue is a common and often disabling medical symptom in patients with cancer. Objectives: It is necessary to have a reliable and valid tool to examine cancer-related fatigue in adults with cancer. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted on 150 patients with cancer that had referred to Shahid Sadoughi Hospital (Yazd/Iran). Data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire that was designed for fatigue assessment. The reliability was determined using the Cronbach's alpha and test-retest method. Factor analysis was used in SPSS/21 software to verify construct validity. Results: Face validity and content validity was confirmed through an expert panel. According to experts' suggestions, unnecessary items were removed and required changes were made in the questionnaire. According to the results of factor analysis, this questionnaire has three categories including: Daily activities and general problems (ten questions), sleep problems (nine questions), and mental states and emotions (five questions). Cronbach's alpha was more than 0.8 for all dimensions and was 0.93 for the entire scale. Intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was in the range of 0.84 to 0.92; also, ICC was 0.92 for the total questionnaire and was close to one for all dimensions of the questionnaire. In addition, the total mean fatigue was 53.44 ± 16.61, considering the total score of 100. There was a significant difference between total mean fatigue and gender, job, economic status, and type of cancer. Conclusions: This study shows that cancer-related fatigue questionnaire can be used as a tool with validity and reliability at all research levels.

Purpose The Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS)-Child questionnaire is one of the frequently child-friendly measures used in pediatric studies. The aim of this study was to transculturally adapt the Greek version of KOOS-Child and evaluate its clinimetric properties in children with knee disorders. Methods Children visiting the Outpatients Orthopaedic Clinic of a Greek Paediatric General Hospital were considered eligible if they were aged 8-14 years, had a knee soft tissue injury and associated physical limitations. The transcultural adaptation was based on a multistage backward translation approach. Participants completed the KOOS-Child at their irst visit to the orthopedic specialist (baseline), 2 weeks and 3 months after baseline. Content validity of the KOOS-Child was evaluated using general QoL measures (KIDSCREEN and Kid-KINDL) and construct validity was explored by correlating relevant items. Responsiveness was evaluated according to the children's response on the given orthopeadic treatment. Results Sample consisted of 59 children (30 males), aged: 11 ± 1.8 years. The KOOS-Child showed high internal consistency (Cronbach's a: 0.80-0.96). Adequate convergent validity with > 75% relevant a priori hypotheses was conirmed. Construct validity was moderate to strong (Pearson's r correlations between related KOOS and Kid-KINDL subdimensions: 0.54-0.62). KOOS and KIDSCREEN subdimensions correlations were fair (Pearson's r correlations: 0.32-0.65). KOOS-Child's diagnostic accuracy was high. Factor analysis extracted height factors accounting for 76.15% of the total variance, conirmed by the scree plot. Responsiveness was moderate to high with Cohen's d from 0.6 to 1.4. ConclusionThe Greek version of the KOOS-Child demonstrated excellent internal consistency, good construct validity, diagnostic accuracy and interpretability as well as good responsiveness. The measure could be used across Greek children with orthopaedic knee problems. Generalisability of indings is limited due to the relatively limited cohort. Level of evidence II. Introduction: Application of a single valid and reliable questionnaire in future studies in the area of Iranian women's awareness of breast cancer provides the health policymakers with a comprehensive view over the issue. In designing the current questionnaires in Iran, the prior researchers neither explained about the design procedure, nor calculated the validity and reliability of the questionnaire completely. In this regard, researchers decided to design a standard questionnaire to examine women's awareness about the symptoms and risk factors of the breast cancer. Methods: This methodological study was conducted on 250 women in Yazd. Data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire. The reliability was determined using the Cronbach's alpha and test-retest method. Factor analysis was used to determine the construct validity in SPSS version 21. Results: The face validity of the questionnaire was evaluated by the target population. The results of the impact score indicated that all questions had a score equal or greater than 1.5. The qualitative content validity of the questionnaire was evaluated by the expert panel. Content validity ratio (CVR) and content validity index (CVI) obtained close to one for questionnaire. Construct validity was confirmed by performing factor analysis and dimensions of the questionnaire were determined. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for all dimensions was higher than 0.8. Also, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) for all dimensions was close to one and was between 0.84-0.95. Conclusion: Validity and reliability of designed questionnaire in this study for Iranian women are acceptable and suitable.
