Designing a simplest architecture involves appropriate placement, which is often, regarded as a critical concerns of physical design engineers. Placement and routing of chips in automated manner is been research since decades and provides better predictive performance than manual procedures. However, most of the automated models operating under meta-heuristic optimization fails in obtaining optimal solution due to premature convergence and non-optimal placement of solutions. In this paper, we develop a novel meta-heuristic optimization method namely Cellular Automata (CA) and Satin Bowerbird Optimization (SBO) that combines Primal-dual lagrangian technique (SimPL) and Complex Primal dual lagrangian (ComPL) for attaining optimal placement and routing of chips. The process of CA and SBO optimization approach operates on obtaining optimized placement solutions from the SimPL and ComPL solutions. The combination of CA-SimPL, SBO-SimPL, CA-ComPL and SBO-ComPL is implemented on electronic design automation (EDA) tools with python simulator for pre-training and fine-tuning the optimization model. The simulation is conducted on a high-end computing system to test the computational time speed up ratio on different threads and half-perimeter wire length (HWPL). The results of simulation shows that the proposed models obtain increased performance with reduced computational time than other methods.

Merkezi İşlem Birimi'ndeki (CPU) aşırı sıcaklık artışı nedeniyle, bilgisayarlar zamanla kapanma ve sistem hasarları meydana gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada, CPU'daki sıcaklığı azaltmak amacıyla yeni bir termoelektrik soğutma sistemi tasarlanmıştır. Ayrıca sistemin dinamik kontrolü için 3 farklı yapay zeka modeli oluşturulup başarıları karşılaştırılmıştır. Yeni soğutma sistemi, termoelektrik modül kullanılarak tasarlanmıştır. Sisteme eklediğimiz termoelektrik soğutucu ile CPU arasındaki sıcaklık farkından faydalanarak fazla ısıyı iletim ve konveksiyon yoluyla uzaklaştırmaktır. Termoelektrik soğutucunun sıcaklığı her zaman CPU sıcaklığından düşük olacağından dolayı etkin soğutma sağlanmış olacaktır. Soğutma ünitesinin kontrolü için özel bir elektronik devre ve yazılım geliştirilmiştir. Ek soğutma sistemini dinamik olarak kontrol etmek için üç farklı yapay zeka modeli (yapay sinir ağı, rastgele orman ve k-en yakın komşu) oluşturulup başarıları karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapay zeka, termoelektrik soğutma sisteminin gücünü ve fan hızını belirler. Bu kontrolü belirli bir CPU yükü veya belirli bir sıcaklık değeri yerine tüm parametreleri (CPU frekansı, voltajı, işlem sayısı gibi farklı değerler) değerlendirerek gerçekleştirir. Maksimum yükte CPU sıcaklığı 41⁰C iken, tasarlanan termoelektrik soğutma sistemi sayesinde bu sıcaklık 31⁰C'ye düşürülmüştür. Tüm yöntemler eğitimde yüksek bir sınıflandırma başarısı sağlamıştır. Ancak yapay sinir ağı yönteminin sınıflandırma başarısı (%97,973) rastgele ormana (%97,297) ve k-en yakın komşuya (%96,306) göre daha yüksektir.

Delay optimization has now emerged as an important optimization goal in logic synthesis. The delay optimization for ternary fixed polarity Reed-Muller (FPRM) circuits aims to find a ternary FPRM circuit with a minimum delay. Because the delay optimization for ternary FPRM circuits is a combinatorial optimization problem, in this paper, we first propose a multilevel adaptive quantum genetic algorithm (MAQGA), which divides individuals into three-level populations: high-level population, intermediate-level population, and low-level population and uses the proposed ternary quantum rotation gate, proposed ternary quantum correction gate, and proposed multi-operator adaptive mutation mechanism to make the three-level populations evolve. Moreover, based on the proposed delay decomposition strategy, we propose a delay optimization approach (DOA) for ternary FPRM circuits under the unit delay model, which searches for a ternary FPRM circuit with a minimum delay using the MAQGA. Experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness and superiority of the DOA in optimizing the delay of ternary FPRM circuits.
