Design of parabolic solar dish tracking system using arduino

Abstract: This paper demonstrates the designing parameters of a solar parabolic dish prototype for rustic areas with great solar irradiance rate availability, where have no access of electricity services or low-income people survives to buy a stove (electric or gas). The solar parabolic dish prototype intends a solution against these types of remedies and pursues solar light to work. The parabolic dish has a polished surface, where the solar radiations fall and collected at a single concentrated focal point. At this poi… Show more

“…The two DC engine permanent motors were developed with an algorithm to detect sunbeam in 20 minutes. Rahimoon et al [51], just recently prototyped a low-cost Arduino automated control system for a 1.22 m diameter parabolic Stirling engine dish following an algorithm that was demonstrated. Although it is still in a prototype stage, it proved to be powerful since 210W/m 2 at 21.6° C could be achieved.…”

“…In order to move the solar dish automatically in the direction of moving sun, an automatic dual axis tracking system is required 92 . There are two tracking angles, that is, altitude (N‐S) and azimuth (E‐W) to achieve maximum DNI value throughout the day 93 . For orientation of the parabolic dish to trace the sun from east to west, azimuth tracking is used in which angle varies from −180° to +180°.…”

“…This shield in this research act like as central server hub for transfer and monitoring of collected temperature data. Although researcher also used the Arduino, raspberry pi controller for data monitoring and transferring purpose [28][29][30]. The comparative analysis of these controller is shown in Table 2.…”
