Design of optical filters based on the compactness of 2D-arrays of dielectric spheres

Abstract: Transmission properties of bidimensional arrays of dielectric spheres are highly dependent on the size and the refractive index of the spheres and on the compactness of the array. In this paper we present the design of filters in the infrared part of the spectrum based on microspheres with high refractive index values.
