Design of Miniaturized Antenna Array for Microwave Imaging Application

Abstract: To detect the presence of tumor in the breast, a miniaturized Ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna is simulated with the use of CST microwave studio. In free space, its operating range is about 3.548GHz. The Flame Retardant (FR-4) material is used as a substrate in the design of the microstrip antenna. The antenna has the dimensions of 16 x 20 mm.
