Design of metamaterial perfect absorbers in the long-wave infrared region

Abstract: A narrow-band and an ultra-broadband absorber are proposed in the long infrared band. They are based on impedance matching theory. The absorption bandwidth of the narrowband absorber is 4.8 μm and that of the ultra-broadband absorber is up to 10 μm.
