Design of integrated supervisory control system for 110 kV dry-type transformer

Abstract: The paper proposes a design scheme of integrated supervisory control system which is suitable for both 110kV drytype transformer and intelligent substation. Some special problems such as how to measure temperature in the high voltage winding is discussed in the paper. Fiber grating sensor is used in the system because of its strong anti-interference ability and accuracy for temperature. The installation method, quantity and trace of fiber are also discussed. The grounded current of core and working current cou… Show more

“…At present, dry-type transformers generally use an epoxy resin casting structure, with voltage levels up to 35 kV, and the highest voltage up to 110 kV [14][15][16]. This type of transformer has a multilayer composite interface, which is prone to defects such as micro-cracks and air gaps, resulting in partial discharge over long-term operation, thereby accelerating insulation ageing [13].…”
