Design of Compact and Broadband Polarization Beam Splitters Based on Surface Plasmonic Resonance in Photonic Crystal Fibers

Abstract: In this work, a polarization beam splitter (PBS) based on surface plasmonic resonance is proposed and realized in a designed photonic crystal fiber (PCF). The PCF consists of two kinds of air holes with different diameters. Two solid silica cores near the center of the PCF are established by removing the cladding air holes.
