Design of an ultra-wideband monopole antenna with multiple band-rejected characteristic

Abstract: In this paper, a compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with tri-band notched characteristics is proposed. The antenna is fabricated on a Rogers Duroid 4003 substrate and fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) . The notched bands are achieved by adding two resonators on the back of the antenna and a semicircle loop on the radiation patch.
