Design of a microstrip antenna on Duroid 5870 substrate material for Ku and K-band applications

Abstract: Original scientific paper A microstrip antenna on Duroid 5870 substrate material has been presented for Ku and K-band applications in this paper. The proposed antenna has consisted of circular and rectangular slots printed on Duroid 5870 dielectric substrate material and excited by a 50 Ω microstrip transmission line. High frequency electromagnetic solver HFSS has been taken into account in this study based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). The antenna has generated two separate resonant frequencies to cover… Show more

“…Many improvement methods have been proposed to reduce energy and steel consumptions and increase energy utilization. Among these methods, microwave-assisted technology appears promising [2,3]. Many gangue minerals in ore (e.g., quartz, calcite, and white mica) are wave transmitting materials, which can be difficult to heat by microwaves.…”

“…Some advantages of microwave heating over conventional heating include internal heating, rapid heating, selective heating, and ease-of-control. Moreover, microwave heating is widely used in food, agriculture, medicine, and metallurgy [1][2][3][4][5]. Microwave heating can also be used in auxiliary rock breaking.…”
