Abstract:The design of a 1x9 linear asymmetrical printed dipole antenna array for intelligent transportation systems applications is proposed in this paper. The ground planes of two printed dipole antennas are connected together for miniaturization. The proposed antenna array obtained a large -10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth, up to 17.6% at a center frequency of 5.8 GHz. It also acquired an efficiency of 87.5% at 5.8 GHz, with a gain of 10.16 dBi.
