The fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0, is expected to cause disruptive changes in industrial production. It is driven by rapid technological developments and the need for manufacturing companies to make oneself independent of high labor costs. Industry 4.0 concerns several aspects of industrial production, including manufacturing logistics, business models and products and services. The applications of Industry 4.0 have been vastly outlined. However, the fit of Industry 4.0 applications in different production environments is not clear. The purpose of this paper is to identify and investigate the Industry 4.0 technologies that are applicable to manufacturing logistics, and how the production environment influence the applicability of these technologies. This is done through a multiple case study of four Norwegian manufacturing companies. The findings from the study indicate that the applicability of Industry 4.0 in manufacturing logistics is dependent on the production environment. Companies with a low degree of production repetitiveness see less potential in applying Industry 4.0 technologies in manufacturing logistics, while companies with a highly repetitive production see a higher potential.

Abstract-The dynamic and complex context in which ItalianSMEs are competing has led to their choice to constitute collaborative networks, in order to improve their capabilities and to take advantage to more resources, such as skills and knowledge. The present study aims to assess the features of collaborative networks in the Italian companies working as suppliers in the fashion industry through a multiple case study research. A first literature review has shown several frameworks evaluating companies at a cross-industry level. Then, the Camarinha-Matos & Afsarmanesh model has been chosen to assess the features of the networks analyzed. The Collaborative Networked Organizations (CNOs) in the Tuscan-Emilian districts appear qualitatively well developed but improvable in their structure and in their strategies' definition. Therefore, the present research describe the reality of CNOs in the Italian context, providing interesting insights for academicians, overviewing the main frameworks assessing CNOs, and also for managers that are facing the issues related to collaboration between SMEs.

Resumo : Este artigo apresenta um estudo de caso ex-post-facto do projeto Sustainability Maker Brazil, onde foi possível analisar criticamente a participação de uma empresa do setor moveleiro com relação às práticas e às diretrizes da produção distribuída. Para tanto, além de uma Revisão Bibliográfica Sistemática através da qual foi possível conhecer e estabelecer estas práticas e diretrizes, também foram analisados os relatórios do projeto SuM/BR e suas referentes etapas no desenvolvimento de um novo produto. Como resultado, é possível observar que o Crowd-Design pode ser considerado como uma opção para a produção distribuída.Palavras-chave : Crowd-Design; inovação aberta; produção distribuída. Abstract : This paper presents an ex-post-facto study case made at Sustainability Maker Brazil's project. It was possible to critically analyze the participation of a furniture company with regard to practices and guidelines of distributed production.To this end, in addition to a Systematic Literature Review through which it was possible to meet and establish these practices and guidelines, were also analyzed the SuM/BR project reports and know the product development phases. As a result, it is possible to observe that the Crowd-design can be considered as an option for distributed production.
