A spatial and temporal survey of the navigation channel near the SSB was obtained from three separate towed ADCP tracks from which contour plots of currents were obtained for June It ceased data transmission on June 11, 1991 and was replaced by another ADCP on August 8, 1992, at location 27'37.12' N, 82'39.25' W. The latter ADCP is part of the fully-operational Tampa Bay physical oceanographic real-time system (PORTS), and plans are for it to remain in place indefinitely [3,4].
