Abstract:This paper presents a miniaturized 2.5-D frequency selective surface (FSS) that exhibits a band stop response at frequency of 1.5 GHz. In the unit cell, the meander patterns on both sides of the substrate are connected in series by four vias. Moreover, the meandered pattern in each quadrant is also connected with one of the meander patterns of the adjacent unit cell. In this manner, a 2.5-D closed loop is created with large perimeter.
