Design of 154 kV Extra-High-Voltage Prototype SF6 Bushing for Superconducting Electric Power Applications

Abstract: Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy of Mn-doped Bi4Ge3O,' single crystals has been studied at room temperature in the X band. The spectra obtained have been attributed to Mn'+ ions in the Bi3+ site without local charge compensation having trigonal symmetry. Moreover, the spin-Hamiltonian parameters have been inierpreted by means of the superposition model in order to obtain information about the relaxation of the lattice in the neighbourhood of the impurity.

“…A dry type bushing was selected for cryogenic application in order to avoid freezing or liquefaction of the fluid [13]. The paper free RIS bushing type was described as less hygroscopic than the RIP type, which is an advantage in case of long term operation under cryogenic conditions with expected humidity caused by condensation on the surface.…”
