Design for Reuse in Business Process

Abstract: When modeling a business process or when updating an existing one, a business analyzer is available to reuse business parts already operational. Indeed, to minimize time of creation and to reduce cost and complexity, a solution can be given by the reuse of some existing business parts. The need to reuse of some business parts to fulfill companies’ requirements leads to the need of extracting business fragments from the business process model. The aim of this paper is to propose a method which enables to obtain… Show more

“…The second result is about detailing the variation points of the generic process model. In the literature, the application of decision miner algorithm is used with variable (Radgui et al, 2013), flexible (Dustdar & Hoffmann, 2005) and dynamic (Vasilecas et al, 2016) BPs as the Ad-hoc BPs example (Duma & Aringhieri, 2018). The novelty, here, is to introduce decision miner with selfdefined BP.…”

“…This approach enables to represent the commonalities of the process variants. By sharing the particularities among multiple variants, this approach also promotes the model reuse (Ayora et al, 2012;Radgui et al, 2013).…”

“…Most other studies Kobayashia et al(2003) (http://www.bptrends. com), Wakefield (2005) have discussed how enterprises can apply BPM to other fields and Radgui et al (2013) reuses business parts to fulfill the requirements of enterprise from the business processes, but few have discussed this topic in relation to Internet-based e-services.…”
