Feller machines equipped with articulated or mixed type manipulators are widely used in the Russian forest industry. In the process of felling trees, due to the wide variety of objects of labor, dynamic loads arise on the technological equipment of the machine, which must be taken into account when designing felling machines and harvesters. In addition, when designing these machines, questions arise regarding the choice of calculation tree parameters and some parameters of technological equipment. For the design of the machine, it is necessary to determine the maximum possible mass of the settlement tree and its length, which in turn depend on the species, the categories of trees and the climatic conditions of the region where the felling is planned. This article published the methodology and results of a study of the influence of species and discharge of trees on the dynamic loads of technological equipment of a feller manipulator.
