Abstract: The prevalence of multidrug resistance among clinically significant bacterial pathogens underlines a critical need for the development of new classes of antibacterial agents with novel structural scaffolds. Cajaninstilbene acid (CSA), which is isolated from pigeonpea leaves, has shown potent antibacterial activity.
