Design and Simulation of Polymeric Waveguide Devices Fabricated by Replication Technologies

Abstract: Design rules for polymeric integrated optical devices fabricated by replication technologies are given on the basis of numerical simulations. The influence of fundamental design parameters on the performance of symmetric and asymmetric waveguide crossings and thermooptic switches is discussed.
