Abstract:Currently array transducers are being studied with narrowband theory, however, it raises problems when the theory is used in medical imaging applications where broadband signals are used. This thesis investigates the properties of ultrasonic array transducers based on broadband analysis, in particular their radiation fields. And furthermore, the methods to design and optimize broadband sparse arrays are developed for both 1D and 2D arrays, which can be used to satisfy different application requirements. The ra… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
