Design and Optimization of a Novel Impedance Transformer

Abstract

Introduces the design method of a novel impedance transformer, proved its superiority, then optimized this new design method using optimized means, and designed the new optimized impedance transformer whose size smaller about 20 percent and bandwidth wider than the traditional stepped impedance transformer. Therefore, to simplify the design of ladder-impedance transformer and make its broadband larger and its size smaller is very meaningful for the microwave integrated circuits.
