The domain of the Internet has extended from computers to different types of heterogeneous and homogeneous sensors leading to connectivity of almost everything and making it smart. This has resulted in the development of Internet of Things (IoT). This paper attempts to give a brief description of the IoT system, its general architecture, the different layers of IoT architecture and the technologies used for the development of an IoT System. The main objective of the paper is to give recent advances in applications of various types in different domains.

If a person moves to a new place or a new city and there is some problem to vehicle then it is difficult to find a mechanic nearby. This application provides service of mechanic to the user. This application helps to search nearest mechanic available to the user's location. This application allows to trace the mechanic and provide different services to the user and it also provide video tutorial to help the user. Our application tracks the mechanic and user location with the help of google maps. Also, we have studied some papers and application related to the tracking of the vehicle using some hardware devices, we are planning to use google map and GPS tracking available in mobile to track a vehicle.

Abstract--Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is the technology used to determine the location of a vehicle using different methods. It also provides security to the vehicles. This technology is widely used for fleet management, asset tracking, surveillance, accident prevention etc. This paper proposes a design of an autonomous vehicle based on Internet of Things (IoT) using Raspberry Pi minicomputer. The vehicle contains sensors to detect the obstacle and fire and it stops automatically when detected. The location of the vehicle is updated on the web as it has GPS onboard. It also captures the video and sends it to web page through Internet. Once the owner logins to internet, he can monitor the condition of the vehicle and its location. He can also control its directions using a web page. With this design it is easy to locate the vehicle and get accurate location of the vehicle on google map.
