Design and Implement of a Battery Simulator

Abstract

This paper presents and analyses a design of number-adjustable series battery simulator, which sloves particular problem of the battery protection system. This battery simulator provides a module of voltage generation and ADC for improving precision. In addition to the voltage genration module and ADC module, it includes a microprocessor which acts as a link between embedded controller and battery simulator so as to receive an input signal representative of battery-specific test characteristics.Results from testing of the battery simulator show that it enables simulation of multi-cell battery and has a high precision. And the experimental result in is also discussed.
