Design and first baseline data of the DZNE multicenter observational study on predementia Alzheimer’s disease (DELCODE)

Abstract: BackgroundDeep phenotyping and longitudinal assessment of predementia at-risk states of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) are required to define populations and outcomes for dementia prevention trials. Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is a pre-mild cognitive impairment (pre-MCI) at-risk state of dementia, which emerges as a highly promising target for AD prevention.MethodsThe German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is conducting the multicenter DZNE-Longitudinal Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Study (DE… Show more

“…Visual memory tests were analyzed from the DZNE‐Longitudinal Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Study (DELCODE), an observational, longitudinal memory clinic–based study across 10 sites in Germany. Specific details about this study, the visual memory task, and data handling and quality control are reported in the studies by Jessen et al [14] and Düzel et al [15]. The data analyzed in this study were from the second data release of the DELCODE study comprising 700 individuals of which 394 participants with complete data sets were analyzed, including 136 participants with SCD, 65 with MCI, and 193 HCs.…”
