“…In a subsequent study, group level YAP MVPA and SB estimates were within 10%-20% of values obtained from ActiGraph GT3X+ accelerometers (11). The YAP has been administered by school teachers without any specialist PA/SB measurement knowledge in over 1000 US schools through the NFL PLAY 60 FITNESSGRAM Partnership Project (24), which demonstrates its utility as a cost-effective population-level PA and SB measurement tool. These findings highlight the value in developing low-cost, standardised, and scalable self-report questionnaires and associated analytical techniques, that can produce estimates of PA and SB that are equivalent to those produced by accelerometers (25).…”

“…The study used a multilevel longitudinal design to evaluate grouplevel changes in aerobic capacity (AC) and BMI in schools involved in the NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram Partnership Project. 14 Previous studies from this large participatory network of 41,000 schools have summarized levels of health-related fitness in youth 15 and identified specific school-level factors that explain variability between schools. 16 Teachers in the network received training on the effective use of the FitnessGram program through online classes and webinars, as well as through content provided in monthly eNewsletters.…”

“…Data for the present study were obtained through a participatory research project called the NFL PLAY 60 FITNESS-GRAM Partnership Project (NFL P60FGPP). The NFL P60FGPP, launched in 2009, provides training and support to a network of over 1100 schools/sites (35 site licenses per each of the 32 NFL franchises) [25]. Schools are provided training materials that include the FITNESSGRAM protocol and philosophy and are encouraged to use various NFL PLAY 60 resources to promote physical activity and healthy eating in students.…”
