In intelligent transportation, various types of sensors are used both in traffic control systems as well as in the control, safety, and entertainment systems of the vehicles themselves. In the process of educating future designers and developers of such systems, it is necessary to familiarize them with the operation and parameters of sensors. The recent years of the COVID-19 pandemic have disturbed this process due to the need to conduct classes remotely. This article presents the general concept of a laboratory stand for testing sensors of electrical and non-electrical quantities, which can be used both in stationary and remote learning. Additionally, the practical implementation of two laboratory stands for testing current and linear displacement sensors was also presented. Both stands have been tested in the remote access mode. The tests showed some shortcomings in the management software but also confirmed the correctness of the adopted concept of their implementation.

Internet stvari (Internet of Things, IoT) predstavlja jednu od najmodernijih tehnologija čije proširenje i unapređenje u različitim sferama života tek dolazi. Iz ugla obrazovanja, IoT obezbeđuje posebnost koja se ogleda u kombinovanju različitih inženjerskih oblasti -elektronike, telekomunikacija i računarske tehnike. Ova osobina, razvijeni IoT sistem za laboratorijske vežbe čini značajnim u nastavi različitih studijskih programa, sa različitim usmerenjima i vezama sa privredom. Na Visokoj školi elektrotehnike i računarstva (VIŠER), razvili smo IoT sistem za laboratorijske vežbe niske cene i male potrošnje korišćenjem Raspberry Pi 3 i ESP32 kao elemente okosnice. Sa jedne strane, sistemu je omogućeno povezivanje i upravljanje radom sa različitim senzorima, a sa druge ima komunikaciju sa ostatkom sveta kroz povezivanje na server ili oblak i slanje elektronske pošte ili SMS poruke. Na ovaj način sistemu je omogućeno i dalje unapređenje u smislu udaljene kontrole i upravljanja i korišćenja alata za analizu podataka i mašinsko učenje.

This research aims to provide solutions for practical learning in the vocational field of mechatronic engineering during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order for vocational students to become skilled and competent, a considerable number of hours of practice is required. Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of Covid-19, restrictions on face-to-face meetings have been imposed. To make the number of hours of student practice sufficient without having to meet face to face, a remote laboratory is presented, which can be accessed by students easily, anytime and anywhere. The developed remote laboratory uses real equipment, in the form of the Mitsubishi RV-M1 Industrial Robot, which is monitored by 3 cameras, and can be controlled via the internet. The use of a real robot, not a simulation, is intended so that students can feel the experience as if they were practicing the robot directly. This remote laboratory for the practice of programming the Mitsubishi RV-M1 Industrial Robot has been successfully developed and is already being used by mechatronics students at the vocational faculty of Sanata Dharma University. Most of the students gave a good response to this remote laboratory, because students got a new and interesting experience. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this remote laboratory, a comparison is shown of the average time for searching for the position of an object directly and indirectly through the remote laboratory. From the results of the comparison, the average time to search for the position of an object directly ranges from 1-2 minutes, while through a remote laboratory it ranges from 2-3 minutes, which is considered to be within reasonable limits.
