Design and Antigenic Epitopes Prediction of a New Trial Recombinant Multiepitopic Rotaviral Vaccine:In SilicoAnalyses

Abstract: Rotavirus is the major etiologic factor of severe diarrheal disease. Natural infection provides protection against subsequent rotavirus infection and diarrhea. This research presents a new vaccine designed based on computational models. In this study, three types of epitopes are considered-linear, conformational, and combinational-in a proposed model protein. Several studies on rotavirus vaccines have shown that VP6 and VP4 proteins are good candidates for vaccine production. In the present study, a fusion pro… Show more

“…In this study, we selected three outer membrane proteins (OMP A, F and C) for designing of a proposal multiepitopic protein with effective antigenic properties as we carried out in a similar work previously [39] . It has focused on bacterial outer membrane proteins as diagnostic markers and effective candidate antigenic protein vaccine.…”

“…There are many methods available for predicting B cell epitopes including BepiPred, ABCpred, and BPAP (16,17). Tong used the BepiPred 1.0 server to predict 8 B cell epitopes for cockroach (CR) allergies (18).…”

“…Lately, many predictions of peptide vaccine candidates for RNA viruses have been made due to progress in bioinformatics, for e.g. : corona virus [ [65] , [66] , [67] , [68] ], rotavirus [ [69] , [70] , [71] ], foot-and-mouth disease [ 72 , 73 ], Hepatitis C [ [74] , [75] , [76] ], influenza [ 77 , 78 ]. These are predicted using bioinformatics tools, which are based on statistics, AI and ML application to the known data sets in immunology [ 79 ].…”
