RESUMO:O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a qualidade de vida de comunidades da Ilha do Marajó, no Estado do Pará, a partir da implantação de fontes renováveis de geração de eletricidade. Diante da demanda de uso sustentável de fontes de geração de eletricidade e da necessidade de inserção socioeconômica de populações com acesso restrito a este insumo, esta investigação questionou até que ponto a implantação de projetos a partir de fontes renováveis de geração de eletricidade na Ilha do Marajó, especialmente de biomassa, solar e eólica, contribuí-ram para o padrão de vida das comunidades locais. A metodologia baseou-se em uma pesquisa de campo que utilizou entrevistas abertas junto a membros de quatro comunidades que se utilizaram destas fontes alternativas, em um total de 397 entrevistados. O estudo constatou que as comunidades registraram alto grau de satisfação com as novas fontes de geração e perceberam melhorias na qualidade de vida por meio de ganhos relativos na obtenção de renda e de acesso a eletrodomésticos. Porém, o acesso à renda de maneira substancial e permanente ocorreu apenas em uma das comunidades pesquisadas.Palavras-chave: geração de eletricidade; fontes renováveis; qualidade de vida. ABSTRACT:The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of life of communities in the Marajó Island, in the state of Pará, after the deployment of alternative sources of electricity generation. Given the need for a sustainable use of sources of energy and the need for the social and economic inclusion of local population with limited energy access, the purpose of this study is to understand to what extent the implementation of projects for the use of alternative energy sources in Marajo, especially biomass, solar and wind, has contributed to the life standard of local communities. The methodology was based on a field study that used open-ended interviews with members of four communities that used these alternative sources, corresponding to 397 respondents. The study found that communities reported high satisfaction with the new generation sources and noticed improvements in life quality through relative gains in income and access to household appliances. However, access to income only occurred substantially and permanently in one of the communities surveyed.

The work process by nurses in the emergency sector is comprised of two complementary dimensions, managing and caring. Therefore, the aim of this study was Know the perception of patients to the support of the nursing assistance in Emergency sector. This is a field research, exploratory, descriptive qualitative approach. The survey was conducted in Dr. Luiz Milton Arêa Leão Hospital -Satélite, located in the city of Teresina -PI, Brazil, which caters exclusively by the Unified Health System, and reference in its coverage area. We interviewed thirteen (13) patients who remained in observation in the emergency sector in that hospital. For this study was used as a criterion for inclusion of service users who entered the emergency sector in the period March-April 2014 and who remained in the sector at the time of the interview. A pilot test was conducted with the instrument to validate and suitability for the target audience, which is excluded from the sample. Ethical aspects were respected, as provided for in Resolution 466/2012 of the National Health Council, Brazil (2013). In this sense, we observed through the reports of the participants carrying out a qualified nursing care, where it identified a good conduct of professionals to provide the necessary assistance. A nursing care and systematic termination during the stay of patients in hospital was evidenced. It is perceived that there is a satisfaction from patients and the care of the nursing team, which is performed through actions inherent to these professionals, such as goodwill, the act of providing a welcoming atmosphere, with technical scientific background, and ability in dealing with conflict situations and ethical.

Background. Prison units are marked by structural deficiencies, especially in relation to the female gender. Objectives. To measure the self-perceived impact of oral health on the quality of life of Brazilian women in detention. Methodology. A survey was carried out conducted in the penitentiary at Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais, Brazil) using an instrument with semistructured questions and validated scales, including the Oral Health Impact Profile-14. 99 women were interviewed. The analysis was based on a theoretical model of determination, with hierarchical blocks of variables. Bivariate analysis was done using the Mann–Whitney, test and multivariate analysis was used using linear regression. The significance level was set at 5%. Results. 33% experienced tooth loss after incarceration, (3.70 ± 3.26 lost teeth). 65.6% rated the dental service as fair/poor. The highest prevalence of oral health impact was for the domains of psychological discomfort (50.5%) and physical pain (40.4%). There is a negative impact on psychological discomfort: the number of dental consultations in the past year and self-perceived general health. There is an impact on physical pain: self-declared color and anxiety. Self-perceived general health had an impact on the domains of psychological disability and social disadvantage. Depression had an impact on the total score. Conclusion. This study revealed a self-perceived impact of oral health on the quality of life of women inmates. We need to ensure high-quality access to dental treatment in prisons.
