This study had as subject the carry out comparison between development indicators of mesoregions in the state of Santa Catarina-Brazil, in 2012 compared to 2014. The indicators used are part of the Sustainable City Development System (SIDMS) of Santa Catarina Federation of Municipalities (FECAM). The SIDMS measures the Sustainable Development of Municipalities, through the Sustainable City Development Index (IDMS) which is composed from four dimensions: Social-cultural, Economic, Environmental and Political Institutional. It was examined through the analyzes, there was an improvement in the overall average of the indices from all mesoregions, however, the most obvious performances were precisely expressed in regions that currently, have better conditions for development.
