In their phylogenetic analysis, Pulsipher et al (2022) favoured the interpretation of the raptorial appendages of thylacocephalans as the maxillula, the maxilla and a maxilliped, and thus of a two-tagma body. They did not test alternative interpretations which would probably have led to a different phylogenetic position for thylacocephalans.…”
