“…All of these species originate from Western Africa (the Republics of Benin, Senegal, Congo and Central African Republic). In the genus Heligmonina, one species, H. bignonensis (Diouf, Ba & Durette-Desset, 1997) has been described in M. erythroleucus from Senegal and three species in Mastomys natalensis: H. chabaudi (Desset, 1964), H. kotoensis Diouf, Daouda & Durette-Desset, 2005, both from Western Africa (Senegal, Congo) and H. wakelini Durette-Desset, Digiani, Mahlaba & Behnke, 2007 from the Republic of South Africa. In the present paper, two new species are thus described from Mastomys spp, one belonging to the genus Neoheligmonella and one belonging to the genus Heligmonina.…”
