The development of social entrepreneurship competencies in university students favors the generation of proposals for solutions to different social problems, thus promoting a positive social impact capable of transforming people’s living conditions. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the dimensions of social entrepreneurship competence: entrepreneurial management, social value, leadership, effective communication and social innovation. A total of 408 higher education students from 13 countries and six different disciplinary areas participated in the study, ranging in age from 18 to 58 years (M = 22.4, SD = 6.0). The social entrepreneurship instrument was used, which is composed of 28 items grouped into five dimensions. A structural equation model was calculated. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial management, social value, and leadership are directly and positively related to personal competencies and social innovation. These results prove the importance of social entrepreneurship training in the development of social innovation in students, it is important that educational institutions in general carry out a review of their curricula and programs that take into account the development of social innovation competence as a factor that can enhance social change.

Objective: Determine the impulse of the components of the spin-offs that allow the creation of economic value in the area of economic-business sciences of the National University of the Altiplano Puno. Theoretical Framework: University spin-offs arise from the knowledge, technology or research results generated within a university, from its components: level of maturity of the technology, level of entrepreneurial intention and the maturity of the ecosystem. Method: The methodology is a descriptive-correlational design, quantitative approach, non-experimental. The population was made up of students and teachers from the area of economic and business sciences of the National University of the Altiplano Puno, with a sample of 453. The technique for data collection was a questionnaire. Results and Discussion: The results obtained were a correlation coefficient r = 0.830 in the level of technology maturity (fair), r = 0.876 in entrepreneurial intention (good) and r = 0.752 in the maturity of the ecosystem (fair). The component that facilitates the creation of technology-based companies or university spin-offs is the level of entrepreneurial intention, with a high level. Suggesting that to strengthen a spin-off, it is crucial to have well-developed technology, motivated entrepreneurs and a favorable ecosystem. Research Implications: the model provides a strategic framework for students, teachers and university authorities to develop the components of spin-offs to increase economic value. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature on spin-offs. The relevance and value of this research is evident in the results.

The objective of the study was to determine if there is a significant correlation between soft skills and academic performance. For this reason, the research was carried out in higher education. The type of research is applied, with the level of research being descriptive and correlational. The research was transversal; since the survey was carried out only once using the questionnaire and notes technique. The sample is simple random, 52 students from the first and second cycles enrolled in the 2023-1 semester, who constitute the study. It was shown that the use of soft skills and academic performance in students predominates at the middle level, that is, represented by 61.54% (32). Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to apply soft skills in their classes. The average of respondents regarding the use of soft skills is favorable. It was determined that more than 50% of the respondents are older than 3,06128, that is, they have a favorable possession. On average, subjects have a rank of 3.5000 (favorable). Furthermore, the average deviation was 1.06128. The minimum score was 1 and the maximum was 5. Therefore, the Use of soft skills benefits the student. It is concluded that there is an adequate significant relationship between the use of soft skills and the academic performance of university students, due to a moderate correlation of 0.819.
