Dermatopathologic Manifestations of Rheumatologic Diseases

Abstract: Rheumatologic disorders are multisystem diseases that frequently affect the skin. Cutaneous manifestations may be the gateway to an early diagnosis and accurate classification. This article reviews the histologic findings and differential diagnosis of cutaneous lesions occurring in several rheumatologic disorders including lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, and miscellaneous disorders.
