Abstract:Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, AIDS hat seinen Schrecken verloren -jedenfalls in den hochentwickelten Ländern der postindustrialisierten Welt. Moderne HIV-Medikamente blockieren die Virusreplikation so weitgehend, dass die Infektion bei frühzeitigem Therapiebeginn quasi folgenlos bleibt und bei fast uneingeschränkter Lebensqualität eine normale Lebenserwartung resultiert.
